Wendy Lee Haines is a Partner at New Profit, a venture philanthropy organization that invests in breakthrough social entrepreneurs who are advancing equity and opportunity in America. In her role as Partner, Wendy provides strategic advising and capacity-building support to a select set of New Profit’s portfolio organizations.
Wendy has committed her career to driving equity and impact in the social sector. Prior to joining New Profit, Wendy was the Head of Strategic Programs on the Community Impact & Corporate Responsibility team at UBS, a global financial services company. There, she oversaw the firm’s philanthropic programming in inclusive entrepreneurship and college readiness. Before that, Wendy spent over a decade in educational leadership roles across the public and nonprofit sectors, including at two former New Profit portfolio organizations. She was a founding team member at New Classrooms, an education technology nonprofit, where she helped create the organization’s growth infrastructure, and she was the Executive Director of Citizen Schools NY, which provided apprenticeship-based learning for underrepresented students. Wendy also raised philanthropic capital for New York City public schools and began her career in marketing at American Express.
Wendy has a Master of Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Wendy lives in New York City with her husband and two boys and is a proud public school parent.
