Liz Johnston-Dupre is Propel's Philanthropy Grants Manager. Liz's experience in nonprofit leadership spans various roles. They have led the Loyola University Community Action Program (LUCAP), served as the Director of Development and Communications at Anna's Place NOLA, and was the Storytelling Manager at Propeller: A Force for Social Innovation. Liz is also the Founder and former Editor in Chief of Comparative Woman Journal at LSU, a journal dedicated to bridging the gap between artists and academics through a Women and Gender Studies/Comparative Studies lens. Liz's current creative project, Folk Riot, seeks to uplift diverse voices in the Gulf South's arts and culture scene through a digital magazine and live events. Liz is a poet, performer, and creative force from New Orleans, LA. Armed with a BA in English from Loyola University New Orleans, an MA in English, and a PhD in Comparative Literature from Louisiana State University, Liz is excited to bring their skills in storytelling and rhetoric to Propel.
